Information to the press, media and private individuals about the use of images from our collections, and makings of photo and film recordings at Museum Nord’s arenas/museums.
We want to be accommodating to the press who want to use the museum as background material for interviews, articles or recordings about our region’s nature and culture. A separate agreement must be entered into for such use. Contact us well in advance so that we can make the best possible arrangements.
Museum Nord is responsible for managing and disseminating historical buildings, interiors and objects for the future. Photography and filming can entail great strains, and will have to be assessed against other activities and priorities. Further down you will find our guidelines for the use of our facilities for such purposes as well as the application form.
We ask that inquiries about such use be made via the form below or email containing all requested information. We will respond to the inquiries as soon as we have the opportunity. Thank you for showing interest in our museums!
(Forms will be available continuously. For questions, send us an email at post@museumnord.no)
Historical photos
Museum Nord has large picture collections with still images, both of buildings and interiors, objects we manage and a number of historical photos of various character. Some of this material has been digitized. An overview of the collections can be found in the museum’s collection management plan.
If you are looking for historical photos or information about objects, look in our collections. Here you will find price lists.
Requests and orders of digital files should preferably be made through DigitalMuseum.
Inquiries can also be sent by e-mail to post@museumnord.no

Do you need photos for travel reports, non-fiction or something else? Do you want a guided tour or something else? Please contact us for information and an appointment.
Press card
Press cards do not automatically give free admission to the museums. If someone wants to use their press card, it is because we a) either have an event we have invited to or b) the person in question has made a pre-agreement with the marketing manager, communications manager or department director.
The use of free admission for a press visit shall be considered relevant to the person’s job.
NB: It has previously been practiced at some museums that press cards give free admission. This scheme will cease when this guideline is approved.
