Lagabøte exhibitions

This year we celebrate the 750th anniversary of Magnus Lagabøte’s national law. Together with professor and historian from Nord University and UiT The Arctic University of Norway, we are working to develop Lagabøte exhibitions at several of our museums.

LOFOTEN CONFERENCE 2024

Museum Nord participated in the Lofoten Conference 2024 organized by our partners in “Lofoten The Green Islands” at Thon hotel Svolvær on 14 and 15 February.

VU artist 2024

Now we are approaching Vinterfestuka, which is the biggest event of the year in Narvik. This year’s Winterfest week lasts from 8.-17. March. Every year Narvik Museum has an art exhibition at the museum and this year it is Åsne Kummeneje Mellem who is a VU artist!

Exhibition opening in Kjøpsvik

On Thursday 15 February there was an exhibition opening of the exhibition Grotter i Nordland at Kjøpsvik Public Library and Cultural Centre.

Målfrid the otter

An otter cub was found abandoned in Henningvær one day in July 2023. It was transported to the Lofoten Aquarium where it now lives life in luxury.
