Discover Hurtigruten’s rich history with a guided tour of the museum! Our knowledgeable guides will take you through an exciting 45-minute experience, where you will gain insight into life on board, the development of the ships and their importance along the Norwegian coast.
The tour can easily be combined with other experiences, such as storytelling, a mini-concert or a meal, to create a holistic and unique day. We tailor the experience to your wishes, so that it is perfect for your group.
We offer guided tours both during the museum’s opening hours and outside, for an additional fee.

Mini-concert on deck

Our mini-concerts offer live music performed by talented artists, with the sea and history as an inspiring backdrop. Annual pass for companies
General benefits:
- The annual pass gives free admission to the Hurtigruten Museum during the museum’s regular opening hours.
- The card is valid for up to 10 people per visit, either employees or business guests.
Custom experiences:
- We offer the possibility of tailor-made experiences according to your company’s needs, including private tours, events or special arrangements.
- If the event is requested outside the museum’s regular opening hours, this will incur additional costs.
Cancellation policy for special events:
- Cancellation within 7 days before the agreed date: Free cancellation.
- Cancellation between 3-7 days before the agreed date: 50% of the agreed price will be invoiced.
- Cancellation less than 3 days before the agreed date: 100% of the agreed price will be invoiced.
Validity period:
- The corporate annual pass is valid in the year of purchase and can be used as many times as desired during this period, within the terms and conditions set.

The Hurtigruten Museum, with the world’s only exhibited, complete Hurtigruten ship, historical exhibitions and salons from the steamship Finmarken 1912. Here you will find offers for children and young people.

Café and shop
Welcome to the café on board MS Finnmarken 1956. The café is held in an authentic style of 1956, serving food inspired by the menues from the ships sailing days.
We serve lunch, dinner, sandwiches, coffee and cake. Meals for groups must be pre-ordered.
The museum gift shop has 2 departments; one on the ground floor by the reception and one, larger one on 2nd floor (inside the museum).
Accessibility
The museum is rich with objects, exhibitions and experiences. Even though the building it self have several floors and many decks onboard the MS Finnmarken the museum is fairly easily accessible for most. Here is a few pointers:
The building is designed in such a way that you can effortlessly move through the exhibition and you can reach all floors by the elevator.
Disabled toilets are located at the reception and on the third floor of the building (the same level as the lounge deck).
Direct access to the boat deck, saloon deck and A-deck from the building if you are not able to go up the stairs.
Access to the Women’s and Music Salon in the section from DS Finmarken 1912, where you can also get close to the Smoking Salon and the staircase up to the cabin deck.
