Kjøpsvik Museum
Museum Nord – Divtasvoudna/Tysfjord, Kjøpsvik consists of two museum buildings, Hellandsbygget and the old sheriff’s house. The exhibitions are spread over both buildings and cover mining and industrial history, cave finds, fish farming and household culture, war history and the school system. In 1918, Nordland Portland Cementfabrik (NPC) established its business in Kjøpsvik, and changed the small town completely. The museum has many objects associated with the cement factory, and other peculiarities such as a fairly intact 1970’s kitchen in the sheriff’s house.
