Cultural Heritage Days 2026

The Cultural Heritage Days 2026 will be held from 5th to 13th September. Our museums offer several events and activities during this period.
At Å on the E10, the King’s Road’s terminus, you will find the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum, one of the best-preserved and complete old fishing villages in Northern Norway. Discover our authentic buildings: boathouse, cod liver oil factory, smallholding, smithy, post office, fisherman’s cabin and bakery from the 1800s. You can get to know the hard and picturesque life in a fishing village during the Lofoten Fishery and all year round. The museum showcases the everyday life of the itinerant fisherman, the local families and the squire, who ruled the fishing village from around 1840 to 1960.
Guided tours are available during the most days of the week, you will receive more information about guided tours available when buying tickets.
