Changing exhibitions in a modern cultural house

SORTLAND MUSEUM IS LOCATED inside Kulturfabrikken (The Cultural Factory) in the center of Sortland.

The museum shows the exhibition ‘Seabed’. It is the importance of the sea in the North, the vulnerable ecosystem in the ocean and the consequences of marine pollution and pollution in general that are the themes of the exhibition.

Seabed is primarily aimed at children and young people, but this is a spectacular exhibition that also appeals to adults. The museum has collaborated with artists and designers to realize the project. Throughout the exhibition there are many exciting activities for children and youth.

Inside the museum you’ll find a small museum shop that sells books and local merchandise. A café, movie theatre and library is also part of the Cultural house, and can be found right outside the museum.
