21 museums – 1000 stories
The museums of Museum Nord span three exciting regions: Lofoten, Vesterålen and Ofoten. The regions are geographically close, but there are differences in scenery, climate and culture that set them distinctly apart. Each of the three regions is worth a visit, and our museums are an important part of the experience, providing historical context as well as insight into more recent times.
Lofoten is well known for its deep fjords and steep mountains. Vesterålen is home to a varied coastal landscape scattered across large and small islands, while Ofoten can offer ski slopes and unique mining history – among other things. Through our museums you can get to know different sides of these regions. Our 21 museums are waiting for you.
