At Vesterålen Museum, the stately Melbo Manor tells of industrial adventure in the last century. Its owner Christian Frederiksen played a leading role in most enterprises of the day, helping take the locality from farm to city within a very short time. In the manor you’ll learn the story and experience its former glory through beautiful furniture, art and decorations. The museum also offers a multimedia program describing the local community around the turn of the 20th century.
