GAIA Arctic Summit 2024
United for a climate resilient future
June 6-7 2024 Vesterålen, Northern Norway
GAIA Arctic Summit 2024 is an international conference on climate change, with a main focus on the ocean and the imperative task of building climate-resilient local communities in the Arctic.
GAIA Arctic Summit 2024 is organized and hosted by the Norwegian partners in the Horizon Europe-project RESIST.
Gaia Arctic Summit 2024 will address four cross-cutting themes:
- Status today and looking into the future: Which climate changes affecting the Arctic can we expect?
- Overall political guidelines and framework: Addressing global and local issues.
- How can we create change? Innovation, building knowledge and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Connecting local with global needs: How can we do this, and who is responsible?
Our ambition is to explore how technology, innovation, research and community involvement can contribute to building more adaptable and climate-resilient local communities.
