Pleasant evening on the pier at Korsnes

29 June 2026

On Friday 26 June, Korsnes Museum arranged a Bryggefest with live music, food and drink on the pier at Korsnes. It is the fourth year in a row that the museum has arranged a pier meeting or pier party, and it has become a nice tradition. Even though the weather gods did not quite play on our side this year, it was an evening with a good atmosphere!

The pier party naturally takes place in the museum’s red pier building by the beach and the marina – with a great view over the Tysfjord and to Norway’s national mountain Stetind. The ferries on both the ferry connections Lødingen-Bognes and Skarberget-Bognes can also be seen from Korsnes.

Jan Åge Horrigmoe played a wide range of music at Bryggefesten, and there was dancing on the pier floor.

The museum’s partner during the Bryggefest event, Tysfjord Tourist Center, brought delicious food and drink. They could offer both pulled pork and chicken teriyaki, and drinks with and without alcohol.

The museum thanks for good local cooperation and to all visitors who made the trip to Brygga in Korsnes. It was a nice evening despite some rain and wind!
