From 21 to 22 September, Helgeland Museum, Nordland Museum and Museum Nord gathered for the annual joint meeting of the museums in Nordland. New this year is that the Árran Julevsáme guovdásj/Lule Sami Center, the Norwegian Aviation Museum and the Narvik Centre also participated.
From 14 to 16 September, project partners of the Coastal Memory Fort project met in Lourinhã, Portugal.
Thursday 21st of September, EvoCave researchers Sanne Boessenkool and Trond Klungseth Lødøen held two lectures during the National Science week in Norway in Narvik; one at UiT in Narvik and one at Narvik Library.
Saturday 16. In September, a boat-loving group of around 80 people visited Korsnes Museum in beautiful September weather.
The Skrei Research Center welcomed Senator Abiola Peter Makinde from Nigeria.
Museum Nord has this week arranged courses at Melbu in object photography for the collection network in Nordland.
Friday 8. September marked the 100th anniversary of the electrification of the Ofotbanen with a great event up at Katterat Station. The organizers were Bane NOR, LKAB, Narvik Museum and Arctic Train.
In the Cultural Heritage Days, the Lofoten Museum has collaborated with our well-known and beloved “Bakstekjærring”, Anne Røde, invited students from VIO in Svolvær to a day of baking.
The MFA aspirants visited SKREI and Skrei Research Center (SRC) on 4 September.
