Call for papers for seminar on museum collections -

The collection network in Nordland invites speakers to a seminar on the storage and reorganization of museum collections on 9-10 March 2027 in Bodø. Deadline for submission of abstract 30 September 2026.

The title of the seminar is Too many things, too little space. We invite you to share experiences and exchange methods on how to streamline and improve the storage of museum collections. Key topics are low-cost methods, reuse of existing premises and relocation.

The form of presentation must be an oral presentation in Scandinavian or English of 15-20 minutes plus time for questions from the audience.

Come up with an abstract of up to 300 words by 30 September 2026. Questions about the seminar and abstracts can be sent to arbeidsgruppenordland@nordlandsmuseet.no.

The collection network in Nordland is a regional professional network consisting of 5 museums in Nordland county. The purpose is to ensure a larger professional environment with good professional exchange in collection management, be an arena for discussion of museum ethical values, work with professional guidelines and ensure professionalism.
