Vesteraalens Avis and the Hurtigruten Museum join forces to bring a long-awaited offer back to Stokmarknes: Quiz!

From August 2026, we invite you to a monthly quiz in completely unique surroundings, namely the restaurant on board MS Finnmarken from 1956, inside the museum. This is no coincidence: Vesteraalens Avis and Hurtigruten have had strong ties for over 200 years. Nanna With, the daughter of Hurtigruten’s father Richard With, became editor of VA in 1905, and thus became Norway’s first female newspaper editor.

On the quiz evenings, VA is responsible for quizzes and implementation, while the Hurtigruten Museum provides premises and simple serving in the café.

Together we promise an evening with a good atmosphere, historical buzz and questions for all levels!

Practical information

• Teams of up to 5 people

• 18-year limit

• Doors open at 18:30. The quiz starts at 19:00 (doors close at start)

• Price: 50 SEK per person

• First come, first served – No pre-registration

Prizes: 90% of the participation fee goes back to the participants in the form of prizes for the three best teams, of which mostly to the winning teams. 10% goes to quizmaster/VA and is collected for an annual donation to a good cause. The audience gets to suggest recipients.
