This weekend, the annual festival Huinndagan takes place in Alsvåg. Join the free family party on Saturday 25th! The area opens at 10:30 am and stays open until 1:30 pm.
Huinndagan is a music festival that is held at the end of July, on the premises outside Øksnes museum. This is the fifth year in a row that the festival has been held.
On Saturday, the program is packed! The museum has free admission, young and old talents perform on stage, there will be a bouncy castle, market, café and true to tradition, the teddy bear Bjørnis will visit!

The museum has FREE admission to the exhibition “Did you hear that? Tales of Guidance and Warning”. Learn terrifying tales from our region, and get to know characters such as the quirky marmel, the weird Krylekropp and the Mother Frog Cuoppomáddu.
We also have a large-scale magnet fishing game, and a legend rebus where all participants receive a small prize.
In the main living room you can relax with coloring.
NOTE! The museum closes its doors at 13:30 on this day. We do not conduct guided tours, and it is not possible to visit Alsvåggården (except for the living room) on this day. We are also closed Friday and Sunday because of the festival.
